Senior Spotlight - Meredith Belcher

Our first senior spotlight is Meredith Belcher.  We have been so fortunate to have her as a dancer since 2011 when she was 4.  Her dance abilities did show at a young age so when she was 10, she joined Carol Fox with the younger classes so she could begin training to learn the curriculum taught for Pre-Ballet and Beginner classes.  She quickly advanced as a dancer and assistant and also performed with Jordyn Robertson in a dance convention in Norfolk, Va.  Meredith has spent many hours at the Contemporary School of Dance teaching as an instructor and learning as a student but she has also put in many hours to excel in her academic areas as well.

At Southampton High School, Meredith is an active member of FBLA, National Honors Society and has also served on the Student Council Association where she serves as the Senior Class Treasurer. Meredith will be attending Christopher Newport University next fall where she will study Psychology.  Meredith also enjoys playing the bass guitar and attending concerts, combining love of dance and music.  In the spring recital, much of the music used in her choreography taught to younger students and dances she will perform will reflect her love of Classic Rock.  Quite a change for Ms. Carol but she is so excited to have Meredith leave her mark on her final recital with her creative choreography and unique style.  Meredith will be missed for all that she brings to the studio with her beautiful dancing and kind spirit, inspiring many young dancers to pursue their dreams.
